How about a different type of chocolate?
Unsweetened chocolate+dates+dairy free milk. Chill♥
There. How about this type?
Dates are a nutritious super fruit derived from the date palm, (Phoenix dactylifera), a tree of the palm family. They are high in potassium, magnesium, vitamin B6, as well as calcium and phosporous, essential to build strong bones and teeth.
Medjool dates, in particular, are my favourite ones when it comes to satisfy my sweet tooth. Their sweetness, however, is completely unprocessed and contain natural sugars like fructose, glucose and sucrose which are easily processed by the body and converted into energy.
Also, since dates, like other fruits, are rich in fibre, the release of sugar is gradual and slow.
High fibre intake also helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
What to say about cocoa? The king of super foods, the one ingredient second only to oxygen!
A highly nutritious food rich in anti oxidants, magnesium and iron with a multitude of benefits that improve blood pressure, insulin resistance, heart health, but even our mood, our stress levels etc.
